Our Pack leaders and Caregivers
Francesca Cuenca
Francesca is one of our amazing Veterinary Assistants and a true animal-care multitasker. Whether she’s helping with X-rays, drawing blood from our canine patients, or assisting in surgery, Francesca brings calm hands, a big heart, and lots of encouragement to every visit.
Her journey into vet medicine started years ago when her family’s German Shepherd developed a nasty hot spot. While everyone else was squeamish, Francesca took care of it, realizing in that moment that helping animals was exactly where she belonged.
Currently working toward her veterinary technician license, Francesca is always eager to learn something new. She also has a soft spot for two very different breeds: loyal German Shepherds and adorable Yorkies.
If she’s not caring for patients, you’ll probably find her reading a book and playing volleyball for fun!
Sandy Stephens
Sandy is known for her love of animals. She brings a calm, caring presence to both clients and patients helping ensure every visit feels welcoming.
Her passion for animals extends beyond the clinic. Sandy is the author of a children’s book about the Chattanooga Zoo where she inspires young readers to appreciate wildlife. At home she enjoys spending time with her three adult children, family, friends, and her three fur babies: Kona, her adventurous Australian Shepherd, and two cats Kash & Kali.
When she’s not caring for animals, Sandy can often be found on the water—she’s an avid long-distance kayaker who loves exploring the outdoors. She is committed to growing within the veterinary field and providing exceptional care to the pets and families in our community.
Jessie Warstler
Born and raised in Warner Robins, Georgia, Jessie got her first job as a veterinary assistant at age sixteen. She worked for several years and then decided to move to Athens, Georgia, to pursue a career as a veterinary technician.
Jessie graduated from Athens Technical College in 2023, moved back to Warner Robins, and started her new role at her home clinic. In 2025, she and her husband moved to Chattanooga to join The Healthy Hound company.
Jessie enjoys client education, dental cleanings, and wire-haired terriers. Having recently moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, you can find her trying new restaurants with her husband, hiking, or at home with a good book.
